KARNATAKA Competition

Hi all, as you know Karnataka are touring in October, so we thought we would run a competition.

The prizes:
Two tickets, two post show backstage passes, tee shirt, and a bag full of Karnataka related goodies. All you have to do is answer a simple question and state which show you would like to come to - we will be giving away one prize for each one of the tour dates.

The winners will be sorted by requested venue and drawn from a hat and notified one week before the start of the tour. GOOD LUCK!

The Question:  Karnataka is a southern state of which country??

Please email your answer and preferred venue to:
karnataka@ntlworld.com

And remember don’t post your answer on this site because you will have told everyone!!!  Grin

Hi all!

We've had an absolutely amazing response to the competition - I'm talking entries in the hundreds!! We will hopefully make the draw tonight and announce the winners by e-mail. Instructions will be sent explaining how you can collect your prizes! Thank you to everyone who entered - lots of entries from overseas - including one cheeky one from Australia asking if we'd pay the air fare!! A number of you (from overseas) have mentioned you will not be able to make a tour date but we'll make sure (if you win) that you receive one of the new Karnataka t-shirts and some other goodies!! Thank you also for all the very kind messages and wishes of good luck for the tour - it's wonderful to know that there is such great support out there.

Thanks and look forward to seeing you all on tour over the next couple of weeks.

KARNATAKA  Competition

We had a fantastic response to the competition - thank you so much to everyone who entered including those from as far afield as Australia, South America, The USA and all over Europe.

The lucky winners and their chosen venues are:

Stewart Edwards - Bilston
Gareth Tanner - Brighton
Colin Tebby - Cardiff
Jayne Kennerley - Crewe
Richard Ellington - London
Stephen Allenby - Rotherham
Phil Leete - Southampton
Iain Birtwell - Southend

Each winner receives two tickets to their chosen venue, post-show backstage passes, new design Karnataka t-shirts and other goodies! Well done to all the winners!

A special prize goes to John Haylock for making us all laugh!! We thought you might enjoy his entry - so here it is!

'...karnataka is the most southerly of the flippant islands , situated 343 miles from the lesser ego archipeligo, primarily known for it's export of lager and crab salad cream and host to  a small population of inbred self sufficient  overwieght publicans. In 1989 it became the first state in the world to declare George Michael shite. And in the following year their small army invaded middle earth only to find everyone had gone to  a coldplay gig in Saffron Walden.Their president ,General Umbongo was assasinated last year by a fanatic tadpole breeder who looked like Alan Carr...in the ensuing chaos a racoon called barry was run over by a tractor. It now transpires that barry was GOD. The tractor driver was given a small banana and an asbo.
I really must stop drinking southern comfort.....'

We are considering employing John as our publicist!  Wink
