Karnataka drummer Louie Palmer will be performing at The Hideaway, London Monday Nov 1st with none other than Gary Husband who has played with Jeff Beck, Steve Hackett, Gary Moore, Andy Summers, Ray Russell and many, many other artists.

Multi-instrumentalist Gary Husband is regarded as one of THE great drummers and it ...is testament to Louie's ability that Gary is playing keyboards for him!! It promises to be a great night!
Karnataka are very pleased to announce and introduce new band member, multi-instrumentalist Colin Mold! Colin plays superb lead and acoustic guitars but also keyboard, violin and sings!
For some time Ian and Enrico have been very keen to expand the live sound and capture the ambitious arrangements from The Gathering Light and earlier material. After hearing Colin's great music they were convinced he would be a superb addition to the band.
For further information check out Colins websites @ Myspace and www.colinmold.co.uk
“Colin Mold - new star in the British prog rock scene: Fantastic conceptual album 'Water of Divinity', definitely one of the progressive rock highlights of 2007 - magnificently produced and performed, very melodic and with excellent guitars which remind of Andy Latimer (Camel) and Paul Davies (Karnataka)” (MAGIC DRAGON MUSIC)
“The wonderful 'Water of Divinity' - great melodies, superb guitar playing and an ambient chill out feel similar to some of Steve Howe's albums with keyboard player Paul Sutin. Great stuff that will be enjoyed by fans of Iona, Chimpan A, Karnataka and Mostly Autumn.” (SONICBOND)
Karnataka are very pleased to announce the return of world class drummer Louie Palmer to the band. Louie is regarded as one of the hottest drum talents to emerge in recent years and toured with the band in 2007. Louie has recently been performing with Barclay James Harvest.

Ian J has just returned from a trip to Egypt where he was fortunate to capture some stunning images of the pyramids at Giza illuminated in preparation for a forthcoming concert by Andrea Bocelli.
We've used one of the images to create a new desktop wallpaper for you to download here.

The new issue of Fireworks magazine features a great review of The Gathering Light by Paul Jerome Smth

"...whilst ‘The Gathering Light’ identifiably includes the original feel of the “old” Karnataka, this is a much more ambitious and progressive album. We are now faced with material that is more ethereal and often fragile but also incorporating much more complex soundscapes and these have been carried to a sublime level of accomplishment across the eight tracks, three of which (‘Serpent And The Sea’, Forsaken’ and the title track) are of epic proportions...."
"...Lisa’s multi-tracked, soaring vocals create an atmospheric mood against often complex rhythms and layers of instrumentation..."
"...‘Forsaken’ is an absolute juggernaut, the song bookending a lengthy instrumental bridge that wends its way across another complex instrumental landscape that will, I am sure, have lovers of traditional prog rock wetting themselves in delight!..."
"...this is a magnificent return..."
"...hugely atmospheric..."
"...The Gathering Light may just be the album to springboard them to wider acclaim..."
"...Enrico Pinna furnishes every track with radiant and towering guitar parts that sing of Andy Latimer, Steve Hackett and David Gilmour but laced with his own musical personality..."
"...Lisa’s voice is beautiful, magnetic, charismatic and haunting in its own right..."
"...Without a doubt, my album of 2010 so far..."
